Do all unfitting conditions need to be on my 0819, or just the one that started a MEB?

I'm starting my MEB process and my PEBLO is seemingly only wanting to put one condition on my 0819, it only rates 10%. I know that I can get the VA to rate me later on in the process, but will other unfitting conditions be added to the DOD rating still, or not because they are not on the 0819?

What branch are you in? Are you Active duty, Reserves, Guard or AGR? Do you have any existing VA ratings? How long have you served? What are the other conditions that you believe should be unfit? Do you have a profile for them? Does your commander's impact statement talk about them? Can't answer your question very well without knowing what your background is and where you are coming from.

I apologize, I wrote this in a bit of a panic.

I'm active duty Space Force. No existing ratings, been in for just under 10 years.

Migraines, and I am seeing a rheumatologist right now who believes I could have fibromyalgia. My CIS includes migraines and "poly-arthritis" which was the start of the fibromyalgia diagnosis, but I haven't been formally diagnosed yet. My rheumatologist is a civilian outside of the military network, so getting records is annoying. However the "polyarthritis" is in my records.

So its whatever you are referred for? Other conditions can be added as unfitting. You can affect the end outcome with a plan and having an end game in mind. So my suggestion is to hire a private IDES attorney at the very start if you get referred to IDES. The documentation will play a big part. You want to make sure you claim everything with the VA but for conditions that don't allow you to do your job you want to make sure you have a profile that has restrictions. You want to ensure your commander's impact statement mentions those unfitting conditions and how they prevent you from doing certain things. The outcome is highly dependent on planning, education and willingness to fight and appeal. The process is much less stressful if you have an attorney that can read your medical files and then gamep lan for you. Then he will tell you the things you should be doing in the meantime and even helping write your commander's impact statement if you commander is cool with using your wording for it. The goal is that everything is lined up but if not it gets sorted out in your favor by having strong documentation.

A private attorney is expensive but since you are halfway between earning your pension you want to make sure you don't get screwed and leave with just a one time check and no tricare. I will send you some online reference that you can reach out to in the meantime. That way you can know the costs, what you should do in the meantime and if you get put into IDES you know exactly who you will hire to represent you. FYI: you do get JAG in IDES but they have too much of a workload. They can be consulted but they are not proactive. A lot of times when you use JAG you have to write up your own appeals and they just review it for you. That's very different verse having a private dedicated attorney that will know your medical conditions inside and out and gives you proactive things to do in the meantime. Then when a result doesn't match your goal, your private attorney is there to write up the appeal. The time frames are very short too! Once they present something to you then you have 6 days to submit an appeal. if you don't sign they assume you accept the results. There are many steps where you can and should appeal if the results aren't' correct.

Good to know that other conditions can be added as unfitting, as that is my primary concern.

I am planning to separate/retire and have no desire to aim for a "fit" rating. My CIS was written weakly by my CC I think, but I made sure to emphasize the medical issues I was having on my remarks section.

I'm not opposed to a private attorney, I'll reach out for some consultations. I really need the tricare for life, that's my big concern. Thanks.

Its not easy to do though. Most people do it wrong though. If there are conditions that should be unfitting then you should have a profile for them. They should be talked about in your Commander's Impact statement. If the NARSUM doesn't state unfitting you need to appeal with a rebuttal at the least, maybe request an IMR. if not unfitting by iPEB then appeal for FPEB. You need to be showing your branch that you have been claiming the conditions are unfitting and have evidence that those conditions are unfitting.

If you don't appeal anything or have evidence its extremely hard to win and risky since the last appeal is FPEB and everything is on the table to be changed.
