PEB sent case back to VA?

I was found unfit by the PEB in September, my VA app closed in November, and my case was sent to PEB in December. I have yet to receive or sign for my ratings as of today 18 Feb. After inquiring with PEBLO, it appears that the PEB found something that the VA "needs to fix" according to them and sent my case back to the VA. Of course it is vague and unknown...but has anyone else had something similar happen and what was the end result? How long did the process take from here?

Obviously I am anxiously awaiting results because I'd love to get on with my life instead of continuing to sit in this limbo situation. Thank you all for the help.

This sounds like a PEB-directed Rating Review ("PDRR"), which occurs when the PEB finds a condition unfitting and the VA either does not find it to be service-connected or the rating assigned to it is inappropriate. For example, there are several diagnoses for eye conditions for which the rating will depend upon the number of visits deemed for treatment purposes versus monitoring or follow-up. Often times, C&P examiners fail to correctly count the number of visits that were for treatment purposes when reviewing records for individuals requiring biologics or another form of immunosuppressant to treat the condition. Or, in the alternative, the rating analyst discounts the number of visits for treatment purposes even if the C&P examiner accurately documented them. A PDRR request is not typically a bad thing and the response is usually received back from the VA within 2-4 weeks of it being made. Note- that the response might require an updated C&P exam for that particular condition. So, just keep up with whatever treatment you are undergoing for your referred conditions in case it is necessary to file a VA One-time Reconsideration Request if the PDRR request does not result in a finding that benefits you. i
