Navy ipeb findings

I know there are some people regularly posting about waiting on their navy ipeb findings. Does anyone know any people who have received their results at their command or in the forum, and if so how long did it take them?

I've heard it's taking some people 10-12 weeks, some 12-14 weeks, and others who got their results way before that.

I don't know anyone else going through this process so I'm hoping you guys can shed some light.

Thanks!

Your IPEB should be less than 10-12 weeks but it can vary. I've seen cases at my command take longer though. After your second consecutive LIMDU, you could be recommended. If you are down that path it is usually shorter. Again this is from personal encounters not standard regulation or governing policies.

I'm referring specifically to the ipeb phase of the process. It is usually supposed to take 4-6 weeks, but because the Navy side is currently low on man power at their ipeb it is taking people much longer (I've heard 10-14 weeks). Hoping some people can chime in and say if they know anyone who has currently gotten findings and if so how long it took.

Timeline:
Diagnosed and sent to MEB - 18Jan
PEBLO contact - 18Feb
OTC contact/exams-15Mar-14Apr -
MEB completed Submitted to MEB- 21Apr
Package (NARSUM, NMA, Personal statement) sent to PEB - 24Apr
Letter from PEB found on Tricare online it was received - 4May
PEBLO said 3 weeks for results- no joy
PEBLO and Lawyer said 45-60 days for results- no joy
Lawyer emailed said all backed up, blah blah blah, my package is with the Medical Officer and has been there for 22 days - 1Jul
After it gets done with Medial Officer goes to Presiding Officer for about 2 weeks, during this time they are pulling VA ratings(still no ratings yet)
Then after PO done results sent to PEBLO within 7-10 days.
You get results from PEBLO and hopefully ratings and result is what you want, sign off and return to PEB.
After that not sure how long it takes to get orders.
I'm currently on 46 days at the Medical Officer and over 80 days from May 4th. Understanding there has been Holidays in there (memorial day, 4th of July) where people had 3 day and 4 day weekends adding to everyone's timeline.
My Lawyer checks the tracker everyday and the days keep counting and nothing is happening. I don't expect anything till Mid to end of August at this rate. Probably for any other Navy personnel it will be about a 3-4 month total process once your package received by the PEB.
My next step is to submit a job offer memo stating my on boarding date is 4Oct and I need results asap. This may give me time to schedule a HHG move and get moved in time.
Very painful process, especially for Naval Personnel.

I'm at 98 days since submission to the IPEB. got an email from my PEBLO 2 weeks ago explaining as to why they're backed up.

I just got an email from my lawyer today and the VA tracker website she checks everyday was updated with a finding from the PEB as unfit. The PEB sent a request to the VA to get the official ratings and I should hear back in about a week on that. I’m hoping within 2-3 weeks I’ll have my retirement orders.
Again my package was submitted April 24th, VA.gov still has my case open, and my package was accepted by the board on 4May21.
I did submit a memo on the 5th of August from my boss(2-star) and within 5 business days I got a finding. I don’t know if it helped but today makes 110 days from the 24th of April.
I’ll keep you posted when I get my ratings back and I sign.

Congrats. Must be nice. Hopefully the paper I routed through my congressman helps. At 114 days here.

Where on TOL did you find the letter from the PEB saying it was received?

Just called my peblo to see what info she had, if any and she's about as useful as a fishing pole in the woods with no lake. Hoping my senator can give me some information today!

You cut in line lol. Good for you though. Atleast I know they are getting to some in mid to late APR.

Talked to my lawyer today. he said the reason the PEB is taking so long is because there's only two doctors there right now. I'm still pretty frustrated.

I’d talk to the PEBLO’s manager. That’s what I did yesterday and he told me my stuff was with a medical officer and has been for some time now and that he’d send an email to get a better status update and when I called today he told me that my stuff was with the line officer and to call back Monday to see if anything has moved.

I would suggest a memo if you have a job lined up and an email with the job offer accepted.
I’ve been told by my PEBLO and what feels like everyone else that this isn’t possible so I’ve had to turn down multiple job offers because of that. I’m glad that someone is getting help in this process. Who did you submit your memo to if you don’t mind?

I tried to submit a memo to expedite but they wouldn't accept it. They said they are only expediting cases for anyone with a fatal medical condition (which they obviously deserve).

The PEB said that to you or your PEBLO said that? all the PEBLO has to do is take your writeup and the input the memo to the website just like they did your original package. Nobody can deny the input of the memo, and your PEBLO has to do what you say. It's your package.
