Timeline for MEB Mayport Naval Station

Spoke to my MSC again for a true update on VA side she said it’s pending a Rater being assigned but once it is then it gets rated fairly quickly. She had mentioned the 20 day is the completion goal but that would be today/tomorrow for me so hopefully it gets assigned a rater soon.
I asked about the case backload Jeff mentioned of 1200 cases and she said the backlog is not with the proposed rating side it’s with those who are in the final steps of getting out and finishing their claims.

She said she would guess my rating would be finished this month to go back to PEB. She said she’s been experiencing total timelines of 9 months from start to getting your findings and I’m right around 6 months in.

Nope not at all this week. And typically I’ve been seeing it take about a week or two in Post VA QA to get findings

UPDATE:

17 September: PEBLO contacted me that my findings are in! She emailed my all the results and have a phone appointment tomorrow morning to review. 100% VA P&T and 40% DoD!!
Time to wait for orders now.

I’m looking to reach out about my orders before they come in and see if they can push them to the left since I don’t intend to take any leave at all

It wasn’t really able to do it with how my dates lined up. Signing findings on the second half of the month and me being on leave right now made it nearly impossible to push retirement to end of October. I haven’t started check out yet and still have things to turnover now that CPO Season is over lol

I’ve done everything minus the DD-214 within about a week of signing findings in September. I could have taken all of my leave but I chose to sell all 60 days for some quick cash. Plus 20 free days of job hunting is enough for me lol.

- DD Form 2656 (how you’ll get paid and SBP) For SBP (Survivor Benefits Plan) ,if you decide to opt out, or change to children instead of spouse etc., you both would have to sign in front of a notary. I went to Navy Federal for that.
- DD Form 2648 (For TAPS requirements) it’s an e-form now.
- Request for job hunting and/or house hunting PTDY as a paper chit if you choose to do this.
- Request for terminal leave if you choose. Also paper chit.
- check out sheet

The quicker you submit the first 3 forms, the quicker you’ll get your actual retirement orders and they’ll start working on your DD-214

Congrats! Be on the lookout for DD214. I got my orders on the 18th of October and couple days later the DD214 showed on NSIPS. For me it was only as a draft and did not gave an option to allow me to certify it as corrected. But you can email the person that shows in the Draft version, confirm with them that all info is correct and they should finalize it on BOL.

Thanks! Yeah it’s already there and I did already email the rep. There were a lot of awards missing in there that my CPPA already put in Salesforce. So once that’s fixed it should be good to go!

Thats great news! I just got my ratings and case closed one the 15th, hoping to get out ASAP, but based on your timeline I'll probably be out in January - February timeframe.
